EDIT: I just used search function to answer my own question.

Now I have another question:

How much do dyes affect the color of the sword?

another one:

When I try to apply a sundering hilt to my fiery dragon sword, it asks if I'm sure I want to replace the mod? If I place ok, what happens? I'm paranoid cuz I don't want to be screwed over.

The dye affects only the sword hilt.

Any Firey Dragon Sword has in it a hilt of fire. This cannot be replaced by another hilt for this specific sword.
